Chris is a Chartered UK and European Patent Attorney. He has extensive experience of patent drafting in a wide range of technical fields. His practice also includes the prosecution of patent applications and advising in relation to validity and infringement matters. He has represented clients before the EPO in first instance and on appeal. He has experience in a range of technologies in the fields of physics and engineering, including: optical imaging systems (especially in the field of photolithography), turbomachinery, automotive parts, fire alarm systems, fluid dynamics, inkless printing systems, automated robotic systems, medical devices and night vision apparatus.
Chris is also a qualified trade mark attorney and has experience in a variety of trade mark and design matters.
Chris graduated from the University of Oxford with a first class Masters degree in Physics, where he was awarded the John Thresher Prize for an MPhys project in Particle and Nuclear Physics. He was awarded a PhD in Particle Physics from the University of Manchester for his work on Top quark phenomenology at the Large Hadron Collider at CERN.
