IPO Annual Meeting 2026
The Intellectual Property Owners Association (IPO) Annual Meeting 2026 will take place in Toronto, Canada, from September 27 to 29, 2026, bringing together thousands of intellectual property professionals from across the world.
Marks & Clerk is delighted to have members of our global team attending this year's IPO Annual Meeting, with representatives that include Paul Horbal, Partner and Head of Computer & Electrical practice in Canada, and Nikki Davy, Counsel, both from our local Toronto office, alongside UK partners Mash-Hud Iqbal from our Cambridge office and Alistair Robertson from our Glasgow office.
As one of the foremost events in the global intellectual property calendar, focused uniquely on the perspectives of IP Owners, the conference brings together IP professionals, business leaders, in-house counsel and private practice practitioners to discuss the latest strategies, trends, and best practices shaping the global IP landscape through a mix of educational programs led by industry leaders, committee meetings and networking opportunities.

Our attendees
Paul is a Partner and Head of the Computer and Electrical practice (Canada) in Marks & Clerk’s Toronto office, a lawyer called to the Ontario Bar, and a registered patent agent in both Canada and the United States.
Mash‑Hud Iqbal is an experienced intellectual property strategist, supporting multinational technology companies, leading universities, research centres and SMEs in translating complex engineering into commercially valuable IP.
Alistair Robertson is a Partner based in Glasgow and a Chartered Patent Attorney, European Patent Attorney and UPC representative. His practice covers electronics, semiconductors, computer-implemented inventions and mechanical engineering.
Nikki is a Canadian Patent Agent, US Patent Agent, Chartered (UK) Patent Attorney and European Patent Attorney practising out of the Toronto office of Marks & Clerk Canada. She is also a lawyer qualified in Ontario and England and Wales. Her practice focuses on patent drafting and prosecution.
