The Intellectual Property Owners Association (IPO) Annual Meeting 2026 will take place in Toronto, Canada, from September 27th to 29th, 2026 bringing together thousands of intellectual property professionals from across the world.

Our attendees
Paul is a Partner and Head of the Computer and Electrical practice (Canada) in Marks & Clerk’s Toronto office, a lawyer called to the Ontario Bar, and a registered patent agent in both Canada and the United States.
Mash‑Hud Iqbal is an experienced intellectual property strategist, supporting multinational technology companies, leading universities, research centres and SMEs in translating complex engineering into commercially valuable IP.
Alistair Robertson is a Partner based in Glasgow and a Chartered Patent Attorney, European Patent Attorney and UPC representative. His practice covers electronics, semiconductors, computer-implemented inventions and mechanical engineering.
Nikki is a Canadian Patent Agent, US Patent Agent, Chartered (UK) Patent Attorney and European Patent Attorney practising out of the Toronto office of Marks & Clerk Canada. She is also a lawyer qualified in Ontario and England and Wales. Her practice focuses on patent drafting and prosecution.
In 2023, Erin joined the Marks & Clerk team, stepping into the role of US Client Care. Operating from Chicago, her primary focus lies in client care, acting as a vital bridge between our esteemed clients across the United States and our global network of Marks & Clerk offices.
Fiona Phillips leads Marks & Clerk's AI & Cybersecurity legal advisory practice, which she joined in December 2025. Fiona advises clients on the full spectrum of legal issues arising from AI deployment and cyber security challenges.
