Emily joined Marks & Clerk at the London office in 2018 as a trainee patent attorney. Emily has particular experience in handling patent applications relating to pharmaceutical products, organic fine chemicals, chemical processes, food ingredients, energy storage and display devices.
Before joining Marks & Clerk in 2018, Emily graduated with a first class Masters in Chemistry from the University of Bristol. Her studies included a year in industry at GlaxoSmithKline R&D and her research focused around the synthesis of medium-ring bicycles.
Emily became UK Foundation qualified in 2020 and was awarded the Mike Higgins Prize for passing one of the UK patent qualification exams with the highest overall mark.
