Emily is an Associate based in Marks & Clerk’s London office. Emily has particular interest and experience in handling patent applications relating to pharmaceuticals, agrochemicals, polymers, organic fine chemicals, chemical processes, food ingredients, energy storage and display devices.
Emily joined Marks & Clerk in 2018 and qualified as a Chartered (UK) and European Patent Attorney in 2022. Emily was awarded the Mike Higgins Prize for passing one of the UK patent qualification exams with the highest overall mark.
Before joining Marks & Clerk in 2018, Emily graduated with a first class Master’s degree in Chemistry from the University of Bristol. Her studies included a year in industry at GlaxoSmithKline R&D and her research focused around the synthesis of medium-ring bicycles.
