Unlock the potential of European patent enforcement and the Unified Patent Court with Marks & Clerk
What is the UPC?
The Unified Patent Court (UPC) is an international court established to handle patent litigation for participating European Union member states, providing a centralised and streamlined process for resolving patent disputes across Europe. It is aimed at reducing the administrative and financial burdens associated with maintaining patents in multiple jurisdictions. Notably, the UPC's jurisdiction also extends to traditional European Patents (EPs) unless they are specifically opted out during the transitional period. This dual functionality underscores the UPC's central role in the future of European patent litigation.
