Susan is a UK and European qualified patent attorney, working in a range of fields, including: electronics, semiconductors, spectroscopy, packaging technologies, oil and gas, agritech, sorting technologies, transportation, audio processing and designs.

Prior to joining Marks & Clerk in 2015, Susan worked for a small IP firm in Northampton. Before joining the patent profession, Susan ran her own IT consultancy business for several years, and worked for BT Plc in Product Management and in High Level Complaints. She has a BSc (Hons) in Chemistry with Oceanography from the University of Southampton, as part of which she studied environmental technology, liquid crystal technology, semiconductors, surface chemistry, phosphorus uptake in diatoms and air pollution modelling.
