Overview & Expertise

Samuel is an Associate and Chartered (UK) and European Patent Attorney based in Aberdeen. He works closely with clients in the energy sector, advising on patent drafting, prosecution and IP strategy, with a focus on aligning protection with commercial objectives in both domestic and international markets.

In addition to his work in the energy industry, Samuel advises clients ranging from start-ups to multinational organisations across sectors including electronics and sports technology. His experience in these areas helps clients to protect their innovations effectively and maximise the commercial value of their intellectual property.

Samuel holds an MEng in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Strathclyde. Prior to entering the patent profession, he worked as an engineer both onshore and offshore in the oil and gas industry. This technical background supports his ability to understand complex engineering developments and provide practical, commercially focused advice.
