Elena is an Associate, a qualified Irish Trade Mark Attorney and an authorised representative before the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO). Her practice focuses on EU trade marks and designs, with additional experience in domain names and online brand protection.
Before joining private practice, Elena held in-house IP and legal roles in the food and beverage, fashion and domain name sectors. Her experience includes managing international trade mark, design and domain name portfolios and supporting clearance, prosecution, portfolio optimisation, opposition, and enforcement matters.
Her in-house background gives her a practical understanding of the commercial, operational and budgetary considerations that influence IP decisions. Having worked for both global brand owners and an international domain registrar, she also brings insight into domain name infringement and online abuse matters from different industry perspectives.
Elena holds a Master’s degree in Intellectual Property Law and Management from CEIPI, University of Strasbourg. She is also a PECB Certified Data Protection Officer and has experience supporting GDPR compliance. Elena speaks English and Russian fluently and has a good proficiency in French.
