Anne is a Chartered (UK) Patent Attorney and a European Patent Attorney. Anne’s experience spans both chemistry and physics/electronics, and includes material science, semiconductor devices, polymer chemistry, printing ink compositions, telecommunications, computer-implemented inventions and machine learning. Anne handles a wide variety of work including drafting of new applications and worldwide patent prosecution, particularly in the UK and Europe. Anne also has experience working on freedom to operate matters and in Opposition proceedings at the European Patent Office.
Anne graduated from Oxford University in 2004 with a first class Masters Degree in Chemistry and in 2008 with a doctorate in Theoretical Chemistry. She joined Marks & Clerk in 2012, starting her career in our London office before moving to Singapore in early 2020. She speaks French and Japanese and has obtained level N1 of the Japanese Language Proficiency Test (日本語能力試験 N1).
