Monique entered the profession in 2005. She is a UK Chartered Patent Attorney and also qualified to practice as a Chinese Patent Attorney. She specializes in patent and works with a wide variety of technologies and has notable experience in biotechnology, pharmaceutical, cosmetic related as well as mechanical inventions. Her works include drafting and prosecuting patent applications around the world, providing strategic advice, advising on infringement and validity. She has considerable experience in invalidation proceedings before the Chinese Patent Office and Chinese courts. Monique also has extensive experience in advising clients on design matters.

Before joining Marks & Clerk, Monique gained litigation experience at the chambers of a senior counsel practicing intellectual property law. Monique graduated from The University of Hong Kong with a Bachelor of Science in applied and analytical chemistry. She also holds a Bachelor of Laws and a Master of Laws (Chinese Comparative Law), focused on intellectual property law.

Monique is also the Managing Partner of our Hong Kong Office.
