Liverpool City Region Tech Climbers 2026 - List reveal
We are proud to support Liverpool Tech Climbers for the fourth consecutive year. The initiative continues to shine a spotlight on the most exciting product led technology businesses across the region, giving founders the visibility and platform they need to reach the next stage of growth. We are delighted to return as sponsors for the 2026 edition, which takes place on 16 April.
This year’s event will reveal the Tech Climbers Main List and Ones to Watch List, showcasing the companies that judges believe are set for significant progress in the year ahead. It promises to be an evening filled with insight and celebration as Liverpool’s tech community comes together to recognise innovation and ambition across the ecosystem.
Tech Climbers is not only an awards announcement but a chance to explore the strengths and challenges shaping Liverpool’s technology landscape. Partners, founders and industry leaders will share their perspectives through panel discussions designed to highlight the real stories behind the region’s growth. Attendees can expect thoughtful conversation, practical viewpoints and a deeper understanding of the forces driving the sector forward.
Representing Marks & Clerk at this year’s event will be Michael Shaw, Aimee Cawley, Graeme Murray, Gavin Jones, Matthew Parr and Jeremy Russ. Our team looks forward to connecting with attendees, celebrating the achievements of the businesses featured on this year’s list and continuing our commitment to supporting the region’s technology community.

Our attendees
Mike is experienced in all aspects of trade mark, copyright and design work, including the filing and prosecution of UK, overseas and international trade mark and registered design applications, and advising on availability and conflicts.
Aimee has over 20 years of experience in drafting, filing and prosecuting UK, European and International patent applications for a range of clients from start-ups and SMEs to universities and their spin-outs to listed companies, and is readily able to understand and work with their differing business needs.
Graeme Murray is a Registered and Chartered Trade Mark Attorney (UK) with experience in advising individuals, companies and organisations from a diverse range of industries and professions on the selection, protection and exploitation of their brands and designs.
Gavin is a Chartered (UK) and European Patent Attorney with a background in physics. He has particular experience in the fields of optics, lasers, semiconductors, sensors and electromechanical devices.
Prior to joining Marks & Clerk in September 2018 as a Trainee Trade Mark Attorney, Matthew worked as a Solicitor in private practice from 2008 to 2016.
Jeremy is a Trainee Patent Attorney working in the Manchester office as part of the Software & Electronics team. He graduated from the University of Liverpool in 2020 with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science. He became UK foundation qualified in 2024.
