KQ Click - Business Growth Exchange
Marks & Clerk is supporting Knowledge Quarter Liverpool’s KQ CLICK Business Growth Exchange event on 2 June 2026, part of the Liverpool City Region’s Innovation Investment Fortnight. The event brings together expert advisors across legal, investment, IP and other specialist sectors, offering practical guidance for innovative businesses at different stages of growth.
The programme features two tailored sessions. The “Concept to Creation” workshop is aimed at early stage businesses and founders looking to commercialise ideas and progress their growth journey. The “Beyond the Breakthrough” session is designed for established businesses seeking to scale through investment, market expansion and innovation.
Gavin Jones from Marks & Clerk will be speaking in both sessions, sharing insights on intellectual property strategy for start-ups and scale-ups. Mike Shaw will also be attending on behalf of the firm.
Both sessions are interactive, combining expert input with discussion, Q&A and real-world examples. Attendees will also have the opportunity to network over lunch and connect with advisors for one-to-one discussions throughout the day.
Our team
Mike is experienced in all aspects of trade mark, copyright and design work, including the filing and prosecution of UK, overseas and international trade mark and registered design applications, and advising on availability and conflicts.
Gavin is a Chartered (UK) and European Patent Attorney with a background in physics. He has particular experience in the fields of optics, lasers, semiconductors, sensors and electromechanical devices.
