His practice covers drafting and prosecution of patent applications across mechanical, software and electrical technologies, with experience handling matters across multiple jurisdictions and a particular focus on Europe.

He advises clients at all stages of the patent lifecycle, from initial filing through to grant, and works with a broad client base including individual inventors, start‑ups and multinational organisations. His experience also includes IP due diligence, freedom‑to‑operate reviews, and infringement and validity analysis, supporting informed commercial decision‑making.

Thomas has a particular interest in space technologies and the evolving space sector, informed by his active engagement with the space innovation ecosystem in London and at Harwell Science and Innovation Campus.

He holds a First‑Class Integrated Master’s degree in Mathematics and Theoretical Physics from the University of St Andrews, with a focus on applied mathematics and mathematical biology.
