Daniel is an Office Managing Partner based in the Oxford office and a Chartered and European Patent Attorney. He works with a broad range of clients, focusing on providing commercially useful patent advice that supports wider business and innovation strategies.
He specialises in the patenting of inventions in technically complex fields, including nuclear fission and fusion, particularly technologies involving high-temperature superconductors, as well as diamond physics, lasers, opto-electronics, magnetic resonance spectroscopy and telecommunications. He also has extensive experience advising on patent matters in other sectors, including the oil industry.
Daniel previously served as Chair of Marks & Clerk. He holds an honours degree in Physics from the University of Oxford, specialising in solid-state and particle physics, and a DPhil for research into atomic point defects in CVD diamond.
