Sam is a Partner and Chartered Trade Mark Attorney based in the Oxford office. She has over 15 years’ experience advising on both contentious and non‑contentious trade mark matters in the UK and internationally, including portfolio strategy and management, trade mark prosecution, brand clearance programmes, oppositions and cancellation actions, due diligence for acquisitions, and advice on infringement and passing off.
She has particular expertise in the fashion and retail sector, advising both established international retailers and growing brands on the development, protection and enforcement of their trade mark portfolios.
Sam also has extensive experience in domain name monitoring and disputes, including acting for complainants and respondents in UDRP proceedings. Her experience in these areas helps clients manage brand risk across both trade mark and domain name landscapes.
She holds a first‑class honours degree in Classics from the University of Warwick and a Graduate Diploma in Law from the College of Law in Guildford. Sam qualified as a UK Trade Mark Attorney in 2013 and became a Partner in 2021.
