Monique Chu is an accomplished UK and Chinese Patent Attorney with over 20 years of experience in intellectual property. Monique works with a diverse range of technologies, including chemistry, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, and mechanical inventions.
Monique has significant experience of advising on IP portfolio management and patent strategy. She has extensive experience prosecuting patent applications in various jurisdictions. She is also experienced in navigating Chinese patent invalidation proceedings and providing guidance on registered design matters, earning her the trust of clients facing multi-jurisdictional challenges.
Monique graduated from The University of Hong Kong with a Bachelor of Science in Applied and Analytical Chemistry. She also holds a Bachelor of Laws and a Master of Laws in Chinese Comparative Law, with a focus on intellectual property.
Before joining Marks & Clerk, she gained valuable litigation experience at the chambers of a senior counsel specialising in IP law.
