Overview & Expertise

Louise Mansion is an Associate and a Chartered UK and European Patent Attorney based in Marks & Clerk’s Glasgow and Aberdeen offices. She joined the firm in 2016 after graduating with a first class MEng in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Strathclyde.

Her practice covers a broad range of engineering technologies, with particular experience in the space and energy sectors. She also has developed expertise in registered designs, with a focus on the fashion sector.

Louise advises on a variety of patent and design matters, including drafting, prosecution, opposition and freedom to operate analysis. She works with clients ranging from start-ups and SMEs to universities and multinational organisations, providing practical guidance to support the protection and development of intellectual property.
