He specialises in drafting and prosecuting patent applications relating to excluded subject matter in the UK and Europe, including business methods and core artificial intelligence technologies. Over the last five years, he has worked on more than one hundred such cases for two multinational companies.
He also has expertise working on applications at the intersection of machine learning and engineering. More broadly, his work covers the energy industry, including nuclear, oil and gas, as well as consumer medical products, electronics, and emerging technology fields.
George also routinely advises on freedom‑to‑operate and infringement matters. He holds a first‑class Master’s degree in Materials Science from the University of Oxford and previously worked as a materials engineer at the UK Atomic Energy Authority.
