Robbie has experience prosecuting and drafting UK and European patent applications for clients operating in the field of engineering, primarily relating to the oil and gas industry.
Robbie graduated from the University of Strathclyde in 2017 with a first class master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering. His penultimate year’s project was focused on optimizing shale gas extraction processes, by understanding the gas transport phenomena inside ultra-tight, porous media. Robbie’s final year’s project was aimed at investigating the feasibility of simulating the Selective Laser Sintering (SLS) process, using Discrete Element Method (DEM) simulations.
Outside of work, Robbie is a keen golfer, having played at a national level for several years whilst winning the under 12’s Scottish Championship and representing the Scotland under 16’s squad. Robbie also enjoys playing his guitar and producing music.
