Faye graduated from the University of Aberdeen with a 1st Class MEng degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, and was awarded the IET final year prize and Peter MacConnell 3rd year prize for her academic achievements.
Alongside those studies, she completed two industry internships in Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire, the first in relation to mechanical engineering and focusing on downhole tools, and the second in electrical design engineering and especially video compression.
Faye later received the Bournemouth University Postgraduate Certificate in Intellectual Property (IP) with Merit for her engagement with the intricate world of patents, designs, copyright and trademarks.
At M&C, she works within a vibrant team of attorneys to provide exceptional, tailored and globally-relevant service. During her patent attorney training she has gathered important insights into the complex and varied needs of large international firms and local SME clients.
She specialises in protecting electronics, software, and mechanical innovations, and has extensive experience in conducting comprehensive Scottish Enterprise IP audits, particularly for start-up companies in the energy sector.
In her spare time, Faye enjoys continuing learning Mandarin Chinese, and has prior experience of living and working in Tokyo, Japan.
