Christophe van Zyl is a Trade Mark Attorney with a career that spans various facets of intellectual property law with a focus on brands.
Christophe's journey in IP began in 2006 in South Africa, where he spent his first 8 years specialising in trade mark litigation and aspects of commercial IP in two of the larger South African IP firms. In 2014, Christophe moved to Belgium where he expanded his expertise into project management as project manager at an IP service provider. Thereafter, Christophe worked at another global IP firm based in Luxembourg for nearly a decade, where he focused on developing an Africa Practice Group and established and managed a new business unit, alongside advising clients on all aspects of IP.
In addition to branding and trade mark law, an area of interest to Christophe is scaling IP services and the impact of AI on aspects of practice.
