Wilfred is a Senior Patent Agent in the Toronto office of Marks & Clerk. He advises a wide range of companies on protecting and commercializing innovations through trade secrets, patents and industrial designs, helping to align their intellectual property strategies with broader business objectives. His expertise spans a diverse range of technologies, including artificial intelligence, quantum computing, aerospace, blockchain security, machine vision, electric vehicles, and spacecraft and rocket propulsion. With experience spanning multiple industries, he helps clients protect and maximize the value of their innovations while navigating the complexity of intellectual property.
Wilfred is passionate about supporting Canadian startups and has served as a mentor with the Toronto Business Development Centre and also works with startup companies through Marks & Clerk’s partnership with Innovation Factory, a business accelerator supporting startups in Southwestern Ontario. He also supports innovators in the university and research & development sector, advising on early-stage protection of intellectual property and commercialization through spin-outs.
