From 28-30 September, Marks & Clerk, along with UT, Goodwille, Sparebank 1 SMN and SpareBank 1 Regnskapshuset SMN will be bringing you the 11th UT London Conference.

This conference will bring together a number of exciting technology companies from Mid-Norway who will be able to network and learn from relevant organisations, investors, government officials, etc.

Participation is by invitation only, and free of cost for the participants. Please contact the UT Project here if you are interested in attending.

 

Agenda:

Wednesday 28. September

2:00 PM – 5:00 PM -  A visit to the Digital Catapult and an AI and digitalization seminar with Marks & Clerk at their London office (15 Fetter Lane EC4A 1BW)

  • 2:00 PM - Visit to Digital Catapult with the following agenda

    • 2:00 PM - Short tour the Digital Catapult office and labs.

    • 2:15  PM - Introduction to Digital Catapult, what they do and how they deliver impact.

    • 2:35  PM - Machine Intelligence Garage programme presentation. This is their flagship AI accelerator programme.

    • 3:00  PM - Q&A and final remarks.

  • 3:15 PM – Transport from Digital Catapult to Marks & Clerk.

  • 3:40 PM – AI and digitalization seminar with with Matthew Jeffries (Partner & Chartered (UK) and European Patent Attorney, Marks & Clerk)

  • 4:50 PM - Summary.

2:00 PM – 5:00 PM - CFO seminar with Goodwille and Sparebank 1 Regnskapshuset SMN (at Goodwille).

 

Thursday 29. September

 9:30 AM - Registration and coffee/tea at Marks & Clerk London office

10:00 AM - Vegard and Willy (Co-founders of the UT Project) open the conference.

10.15 AM - Marks & Clerk welcome the audience.

10:30 AM - Ed Round (Partner, Marks & Clerk) talks about "AI digital transformation, 5G and blockchain from an IP strategy perspective".

10:50 AM - Krister Kristiansen (Managing Director UK, Attensi) will present “Attensi – from 1 to 50 employees in 50 months. The lessons learned from Brexit and Covid – and the route forward to world domination”

11:15 AM - Coffee/tea.

11:35 AM - Sophie-Lou Arcese Le Nir (Project Manager, Technolog, Department for International Trade) will introduce “How to successfully enter and scale in the UK market. And what does the market look like for investment opportunities?”.

11:55 AM - Kevin Rutter (CEO, Goodwille) will talk about “Why do Goodwille clients choose UK as a market, and how do they enter the UK. What kind of support/help is needed from local UK companies to succeed?”.

12:15 PM - Pre-lunch mingling.

12:30 PM - Lunch.

1:00 PM - Borislav Sinik (Partner Director Nordics, Globalization Partners) will talk about “How to grow your global workforce within hours – without setting up branch offices in new countries”.

1:20 PM - Kyrre Haugen (General Manager, Norwegian British Chamber of Commerce) delivers "What can Norwegian British Chamber of Commerce do to help you succeed in the UK and here are some successful references".

1:40 PM - Martin Falch (CEO, 360Leaders) will share his experience on “It is one thing to be successful in Norway, with large companies on the customer list. But it is a very different thing to succeed internationally – having the right team is essential”.

2:00 PM - Øyvind Reed (CEO, Whereby) will present the story if “Whereby - a Norwegian company connecting people globally“.

2:30 PM - Coffee/tea.

2:45 PM - Odd Inge Sandbekkhaug (CEO, Infiniwell) will present “Infiniwell’s strategy for entering the UK market from Trondheim, with some unique products utilizing AI that help healthcare providers deliver better and faster care to more patients, by equipping them with AI-powered diagnostic tools, technology and processes”.

3:05 PM - Lars Christian Lund Størseth (CEO, Stoerseth Holding - Capital Management) will present “How can Norwegian Tech companies attract investors from the UK”.

3:25 PM - Hilde Hukkelberg (Manager, Innovation Norway UK & Ireland) talks about “The focus after Brexit and UK as a global hub towards building a global business”.

3:45 PM - Bjørnar Sørberg (CEO, Experio / Voice of Norway) will demonstrate “How to expand your reality by the use of AR (Augmented Reality) technology”.

4:00 PM - Kyrre Haugen will lead a panel discussion on the topic “How can a Norwegian company achieve global success, starting with the UK, and who are the important helpers in the UK?”.

4:30 PM - Summary by Vegard and Willy.

7:00 PM - Dinner at Strand Palace Hotel.

8:30 PM - Socialising in the bar at Strand Palace Hotel.

 

Friday 30. September
