Philip Bennett

Philip joined Marks and Clerk in September 2013 having completed a DPhil in organic chemistry earlier that year. His research focused on synthesising organic dyes with excellent non-linear optical properties.  In addition, he evaluated the toxicity of these dyes in an in vitro cell environment, and investigated their applicability to photodynamic cancer therapy and the light-activated release of neurotransmitters. 

Since joining Marks & Clerk, Philip has helped prosecute patent applications in a variety of areas. These include applications based on pharmaceuticals, medical devices, chemicals, food products, and mechanical devices.
