Overview & Expertise

Frank Lee is an Associate in Marks & Clerk’s electronics patents team in London. He has over 10 years’ experience in the patent profession, working with clients of all sizes around the world.

His practice covers patent drafting and prosecution, IP portfolio management, due diligence, and opinion work. He has particular experience in patents related to electronics and medical technologies, with technical expertise spanning artificial intelligence, software, semiconductors, telecommunications, antennas, and medical devices.

Frank joined Marks & Clerk’s Hong Kong office in 2012, where he qualified as a Chartered Patent Attorney. His training included a secondment as an in-house IP manager and director to a Hong Kong based multinational company, where he gained valuable experience and insights into the commercial aspects of IP. Frank relocated to London in 2023.

Frank has been actively involved in the startup scene, speaking and mentoring for various local and regional accelerator programs and IP training programs.

He holds a B.Eng in Biomedical Engineering and an M.Phil. in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from the University of Hong Kong.
