Daniyal joined Marks & Clerk in 2021 as a Trainee Patent Attorney based in the London office. He is a member of the Electronics team, where he works with a range of clients including UK based start-ups and multinational companies. Daniyal’s primary focus is on the prosecution of patents relating to Artificial Intelligence and computer implemented inventions.
Daniyal holds an Sc.B in Materials Engineering from Brown University. He also holds an MSc. in Advanced Computing from Imperial College London, where his dissertation focused on Machine Learning methods for automatic camera navigation during minimally invasive surgeries (MIS).
Prior to joining Marks & Clerk, Daniyal spent nearly 5 years in industry as a Software Engineer. He has experience working for start-ups in the United States as well as in the UK; most recently as a Transport Data Engineer for Citymapper in London.
Outside of work, Daniyal enjoys playing sports, with a particular interest in Cricket and Football.
