Ahmed joined Marks & Clerk in 2021 as a Trainee Patent Attorney. He works with a range of clients including universities and multinational companies and covers a range of subject-matter in physics and engineering. Ahmed specialises in electronics, communication systems and antenna design. His work is focused in patent drafting and prosecution.
Ahmed has a Master of Science from New York University, where he did research on electromagnetic metamaterials. He also has a PhD from Queen Mary, University of London where his research was primarily on electromagnetic sensing and characterization at optical and Terahertz frequencies.
Prior to joining Marks & Clerk, Ahmed worked as a research associate at the University of Cambridge where he helped to develop a communication system using surface-waves on telephone cables.
Outside the office, Ahmed enjoys cycling and likes to draw.
