Paul Horbal is a patent agent, lawyer, and electrical engineer. His practice focuses on patent, industrial designs and technology law, with an emphasis on securing and leveraging intellectual property rights for high-tech and Fintech clients. Paul has experience with a wide array of technology, from machine learning and wireless communications to mobile payments and blockchain. Paul advises clients of all sizes, from startup to supersized. In addition to his work preparing and prosecuting patents, Paul advises clients regarding their intellectual property licensing needs, as well as other IP-related agreements.
Kevin Shipley is a patent agent, lawyer and mechanical engineer. His practice focuses on patent prosecution and IP portfolio strategy and management. Kevin also has significant experience in large-scale freedom-to-operate and product launch/clearance projects as well as aggressive patent portfolio mining and offensive patent filing projects. He also regularly opines on patent validity and infringement, and provides advice relating to IP licenses, confidentiality agreements and other IP-related agreements.
