EUIPO Launches 2026 SME Fund to Boost Intellectual Property Rights

The latest grant scheme is now open for SMEs established in the EU and Ukraine. What is the SME Fund 2026?

• It's a European Commission initiative implemented by the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) and will run from 2 February 2026 to 4 December 2026 but usually closes earlier …as funds run out!
• It offers financial support to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) established in the European Union and Ukraine.
• It can help protect many different assets, including trade marks, designs, patents and plant varieties.
• Grants are awarded in the form of vouchers that the beneficiary can use to claim a reimbursement, for various IP-related activities such as applications for trade marks, designs, patents etc.
