Anis Naidu

Anis is a Chartered (UK) and European Patent Attorney specialising in matters relating to chemical, pharmaceutical and medical device technologies.
Anis represents several European, Far Eastern and US based companies operating within various medical technology areas including transaortic valve implants, wound care products, anti-biofilm agents as well as ostomy devices. Moreover, Anis has experience advising a number of universities in the healthcare sector, handling technologies such as small molecule therapies as well as a range of surgical equipment.
Anis also advices local university spin-out companies in the field of blood management and microneedle-based technologies. In addition, Anis acts for Hospital Trusts and organisations within the UK National Health Service in relation to the capture, protection and enforcement of medical device inventions developed by clinicians. Anis also has significant experience in advising organisations operating within the textile treatment, wood fabrication and food additive sectors.
Anis advises several international based companies on their freedom to operate within the UK and has experience in managing large freedom to operate projects covering the European region.
Anis has worked as a patent attorney since 2012 and graduated from Imperial College London with a Master’s degree in Chemistry. He spent several years working as a pharmaceutical research chemist, focussing on small molecule therapies, at a large multinational pharmaceutical company prior to joining the patent attorney profession. Anis practiced as a patent attorney in the Marks & Clerk Singapore office for a number of years and also has the necessary qualifications to be considered a Singapore Patent Attorney.
