Franziska Luckert is a Senior Associate in Marks & Clerk’s Glasgow office with more than a decade of experience in handling various aspects of patent practice. She has significant experience in the preparation, filing and prosecution of patent applications in the UK, Europe and internationally, with particular experience in securing patent protection in India. Her technical expertise spans a broad range of fields, including physics, electronics, computer-related inventions, and automotive technologies.

Franziska works with complex innovations including medical devices, medical image processing, lithographic systems, semiconductor technologies and wireless networks. Her experience in these areas enables her to provide clear, technically grounded advice across diverse sectors.

As a native German speaker, Franziska supports clients in both English and German, including the prosecution of German-language patent applications before the European Patent Office.

Franziska holds a Diploma in Physics from the Technical University Berlin and a PhD in Physics from the University of Strathclyde, where her research focused on the optical spectroscopy of chalcopyrite semiconductors.
