Jack Stevenson-Hill is a Principal based in the Manchester office. He is a Chartered Patent Attorney (UK), European Patent Attorney and UPC Representative.

His practice focuses on physics, electronics and engineering based technologies. He specialises in drafting and prosecuting patent applications worldwide, and advises on patent infringement and validity matters. He also has experience of UK patent litigation, enabling him to provide commercially focused advice that takes account of enforcement and risk considerations.

Jack’s technical experience spans a broad range of sectors, including analogue electronics, power tools, metal detectors, subterranean drilling, automotive and aeronautical components and control systems, optical components, liquid crystalline materials, environmental sensors, packaging and lithographic systems. This breadth of experience supports clients operating across energy and environment, transport, aerospace, and consumer sectors.

In addition to patents, Jack advises on UK registered designs, including prosecution, validity and infringement, as well as unregistered design rights and copyright. Prior to joining Marks & Clerk, he worked as a research scientist at QinetiQ in radar and optics. He holds a first class MPhys degree in Physics from the University of Manchester.
