Jen joined Marks & Clerk in 2022, as a trainee patent attorney in the Electronics department of the London office. Since joining, Jen has gained experience in patent prosecution across a wide range of fields, working on technologies relating to machine learning/AI, telecommunications networks, radar imaging and antenna systems. In particular, Jen has developed a particular focus on prosecution of subject matter close to the borders of patentability, and is adept at determining prosecution strategies to obtain optimal protection for clients.
Jen graduated from the University of York with a first class honours degree in Theoretical Physics. During her time at University, she gained experience in a range of fields, including high performance computing, machine learning, and quantum computing. Jen obtained her UK Patent Law Foundation qualification in March 2024. In addition to her patent qualifications, she obtained the Stanford University & DeepLearning.AI Machine Learning Specialisation in December 2022.
