Denise brings a wealth of experience in brand selection, management, and protection, with a strong focus on both prosecution and contentious actions. Denise has conducted numerous oppositions, invalidations, and revocations across Greater China, and drafted comprehensive standard operating procedures and protocols for use by conglomerates and listed companies, aimed at improving efficiency in brand development and strengthening IP securitisation.
Her work encompasses a variety of sectors, with a particular emphasis on Food and Beverages, Health and Beauty, Consumer Goods, and Entertainment and Hospitality, enabling her to adeptly navigate the complexities of intellectual property law across various industries, both in Hong Kong and internationally.
Prior to joining Marks & Clerk in 2019, Denise has built upon her extensive background from a Tier 1 international law firm in Hong Kong for over two decades. The long tenure at a respected firm has equipped her with the skills and knowledge necessary to handle a wide array of intellectual property matters effectively.
Denise holds a law degree from Brazil, which adds a valuable international perspective to her practice. Her fluency in English, Portuguese, and Spanish allows her to effectively communicate with clients and partners from different cultural backgrounds, enhancing her ability to provide tailored solutions in brand protection and management.
