Anni has drafted and prosecuted patent applications in biotechnology and engineering fields, such as agriculture, pharmaceuticals, stem cell culture methods, medical devices, 3D-printing, and modular construction. She also has worked on IP due diligence, freedom-to-operate, patentability and infringement issues. Her clients come from research institutes and small, medium enterprises.
Prior to entering the patent profession through joining Marks & Clerk in 2015, Anni worked for a few years in neuroscience and pharmacology research, particularly in the characterization of neuropeptides during neuroinflammation. She also worked as a product specialist with a scientific equipment distributor, specializing in equipment for research institutes, hospitals and pharmaceutical laboratories.
Anni holds a Bachelor’s in Life Sciences, Graduate Certificate in Intellectual Property Law, and Master’s in IP Management, all from the National University of Singapore.
Anni qualified as a Singapore Registered Patent Attorney in 2024, and is currently working towards qualifying as a UK Patent Attorney.
