Kate joined Marks & Clerk in 2016 as a Trainee Patent Attorney in the London office. She graduated from the National University of Ireland Galway with an Honours degree in Biomechanical Engineering and subsequent to this obtained a first class MSc in Polymer Engineering from Queens University Belfast.
Following this Kate was awarded a PhD in Physics in 2015 from University College Dublin for her research investigating the electromechanical properties of bio-polymer based nanomaterials for biomedical engineering applications. In the year prior to joining Marks & Clerk Kate worked in technical consulting for a big four firm.
