Zhongqiu has extensive experience in technological intellectual property protection in China, encompassing patent prosecution and portfolio management, IP risk clearance and compliance, and litigation. She specialises in communications, artificial intelligence, automotive industries, semiconductor technologies, and automation and industrial systems. Prior to joining Marks & Clerk in 2022, she had worked as in-house counsel in multinational corporations and as a patent attorney in law firms.
Zhongqiu is a qualified patent attorney before the PRC patent office and was admitted to practise law in China in 2020 (currently not practising). She obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Automation from Tsinghua University, a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from KAIST, and a Master of Laws from Peking University.
Zhongqiu is fluent in Chinese (Mandarin) and English. She can also read and speak some French.
