Emma studied Physics at Fitzwilliam College, Cambridge University. While at University Emma studied modules in Computer science and Computational physics as well as undertaking an extended research project in Biophysics. Emma is particularly interested in software and the developing policy of the UK and European patent offices with regards to the patentability of computer implemented inventions.

Emma joined the Cambridge office of Marks and Clerk as a Trainee Patent Attorney in October 2021.
