Tim is a Chartered (UK) and European Patent Attorney, and has been in practice since 2018. He qualified as a Singapore Registered Patent Attorney in 2021.
Tim specialises in patents and his area of technical expertise includes small-molecule pharmaceuticals, polymers, nucleic acids and peptides. He has extensive prosecution experience in foreign jurisdictions, especially in Europe and the US, as well as experience handling opposition, infringement, freedom to operate, and IP-related aspects of due diligence matters.
Tim graduated from the University of Cambridge with a first-class MSci degree in Natural Sciences, specialising in organic and biological chemistry. His research project related to the synthesis of non-natural amino acids for the preparation of stapled peptides. Prior to joining Marks & Clerk, Tim worked at a leading London-based firm of Patent Attorneys where he qualified as a UK and European Patent Attorney.
