Francesco is a Trainee Patent Attorney in the Birmingham Office. He specialises in the drafting and prosecution of patent applications in the fields of computer-implemented inventions, Blockchain, Artificial Intelligence (AI), and software. Based on his higher degree in AI, Francesco provides technical support to Marks & Clerk attorneys in several UK offices.
Francesco obtained a first class BSc in Mathematics from the University of Warwick, specialising in bifurcation theory. During this study, he completed a research project on computing the bifurcation diagram of a highly non-linear monotonic vector field on a torus.
Francesco further gained an MSc with distinction in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning from the University of Birmingham. His project focused on the use of modular encoder-decoder convolutional neural networks for denoising images, with the aim of reconstructing accelerated MRI scans.
Apart from English, Francesco is fluent in French and Italian.
