Christian graduated from the University of Southampton in 2014 with a first class MEng degree in Aeronautics and Astronautics. He spent a semester abroad in Paris at École Supérieure des Techniques Aéronautiques et de Construction Automobile (ESTACA). During his time at university, Christian undertook research into the properties of blood flow through coronary arteries using computational fluid dynamics in order to inform arterial stent design. His final year project involved the development of a remotely launched and operated high altitude atmospheric monitoring balloon system.
During university Christian undertook a summer internship at Rolls Royce where he worked on research into jet noise. During an internship and subsequent year of employment at PwC, Christian worked in external audit and controls assurance in the pharmaceutical and banking and capital markets sectors in London whilst completing partial qualification towards becoming an ICAEW Chartered Accountant. Christian joined Marks & Clerk in the Birmingham office as a trainee patent attorney in November 2015.
