Kelly Stewart

Kelly is a registered Patent Agent with the Canadian Intellectual Property Office. He focuses in the areas of patent drafting, filing, and prosecution. Kelly deals primarily with technologies in the electrical, computer, software, medical, mechanical, and oil and gas fields. He also helps his clients register industrial designs.

Kelly works with his clients to develop a patent filing strategy that suits their needs and budget. His ability to quickly understand new technologies allows him to prepare detailed and creative patent applications in an effort to maximize patent protection. He enjoys the diversity of working with a variety of clients, from one-person start-up companies to large corporations.

Kelly currently sits on the Executive Committee for the Toronto Intellectual Property Group. He is a member of the Information, Communication & Technology Committee for the Intellectual Property Institute of Canada.  Kelly is also an active member of the American Intellectual Property Law Association. 

Kelly graduated from the University of Calgary in 2007 with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering.  He gained engineering experience in the power engineering industry and completed an internship with one of the world’s top engineering companies.

Outside of the office, Kelly enjoys playing hockey, golf and squash.
