Sebastian Beck-Watt

Sebastian is an intellectual property lawyer who advises on a range of intellectual property matters in a variety of sectors.

Prior to joining Marks & Clerk, Sebastian clerked at the Federal Court of Canada and articled at an intellectual property law firm in Ottawa. During law school, Sebastian was actively involved in IP Osgoode, the school’s Intellectual Property Law & Technology Program, and interned at a Canadian media organisation. Previously, Sebastian has worked in the government and in the financial services industry.

Sebastian received a B.A., Honours in History (French Immersion) from the University of Ottawa in 2011 and a J.D. from Osgoode Hall Law School in 2017. Sebastian is also a member of the Intellectual Property Institute of Canada (IPIC).

Outside of work, Sebastian enjoys running, playing squash, cooking, and travelling.
