Simmi Mangat

Prior to joining Marks & Clerk in October 2008, Simmi Mangat spent several years working for a reverse engineering and intellectual property consulting firm where she gained experience drafting and prosecuting patent applications. She also provided patent and technical assessments for patent brokerage. Later, she worked as a patent manager for a patent licensing firm where she was involved with patent prosecution and the preparation of claim chart documentation for use in licensing negotiations as well as litigation.

Simmi received a Bachelor in Electrical Engineering in 1997 and subsequently a Masters in Electrical Engineering in 2000 from Concordia University. Simmi is a registered Canadian patent agent, and is registered to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office on behalf of Canadian clients. Her expertise is with electrical and telecommunications inventions. In her spare time, Simmi enjoys running and yoga.
