Jonathan Solomon

Jonathan is an intellectual property lawyer who advises clients on patents, trademarks, design rights, copyright matters and trade secrets. Jonathan has experience in litigation, drafting/negotiating commercial contracts, and in advising clients on their intellectual property protection strategies. In particular, Jonathan regularly advises on a broad range of technologies but has recent experience in life sciences (biotechnology, pharmaceuticals including therapeutic antibodies and medical devices), hi-tech (telecommunications including commercial issues relating to cell towers and disputes involving FRAND/SEP issues) and mechanical (air flow valves and printer cartridges). Jonathan also has an interest in artificial intelligence.
Jonathan graduated from the University of Oxford in 2013 with a BA in Jurisprudence and then completed an LLM at the University of Toronto. At the University of Toronto, Jonathan was a Canadian Institute of Health Research Fellow specialising in bioethics, healthcare and law. Jonathan became an ADR Group Accredited Civil and Commercial Mediator in 2015. Jonathan trained as a Solicitor at a magic circle firm before joining Marks & Clerk Law LLP in April 2019.

Outside of work Jonathan enjoys rugby, ice hockey, skiing and improvised comedy.
