Andrew Johnston

Andrew graduated from Imperial College London with a first class undergraduate master’s degree in physics in 2012, which included a year spent studying at the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid. In 2016 Andrew was awarded a doctorate in biochemistry from the University of Oxford. Andrew’s thesis focused on determining the atomic structure of pharmaceuticals, such as cocaine and alprazolam, in physiologically relevant environments using a combination of neutron scattering and computational techniques, resulting in several peer-reviewed publications. Following the award of his doctorate, Andrew spent some time teaching maths and science in Baku, Azerbaijan.

Andrew joined Marks & Clerk in 2017 as a trainee patent attorney in the Oxford office.
