Rachael joined the Marks & Clerk London office in September 2019 as a Trainee Patent Attorney.
Rachael graduated from the University of Nottingham in 2014 with a first class BSc in Biology and spent the following year working as a technician at life sciences company Abcam in Cambridge.
Prior to joining Marks & Clerk, Rachael undertook a PhD at the University of Cambridge, based at the Babraham Institute and researching cell signalling via protein phosphorylation.
During her PhD, she won the Biotechnology Young Entrepreneurs Scheme business competition and carried out an internship at the Okinawa Institute of Science and Technology Graduate University in Japan where she researched neuronal cell signalling.
