Sophie Fonquernie

Sophie is a general engineer with a predominantly chemical engineering knowledge by her studies, and also with mechanical, instrumentation and material skills by her professional experience.

She worked for more than 20 years and in particular she practiced for over 8 years as a Patent Engineer and Industrial Property (IP) Manager at CEA Cadarache.  During these 8 years, Sophie has developed and brought her expertise in IP, in support of research units and partners of CEA Cadarache. In particular, she assisted research units in the detection, maturation and protection of inventions, and more generally in the protection of their knowledge. She also assisted managers in the management of patent portfolios, and more broadly in the IP strategy.

Sophie is registered as an expert and coach with the INPI, for instance she realized an "IP Booster", a pre-diagnosis that takes into account all the industrial property tools that can be mobilized within a company, including contracts, licenses, documentary research, purchases and sales of technologies. In 2016, she also was the "IP Master Class" patron, a personalized coaching to make intellectual property a lever of development for a company.

  • Patentability study
  • Analysis of search reports
  • Proofreading and drafting of patent applications
  • Follow-up of patent granting procedures
  • Management of IP portfolios in connections with the IP strategy

  • Internal and external IP training and coaching
  • Confidentiality management and in particular writing NDA
