Laura Carney

Laura joined Marks & Clerk in 2014 as a trainee patent attorney in the Birmingham office. Prior to this, Laura completed a PhD in Biology at the University of Bristol, where her research focused upon the role of the immunoregulatory cytokine IL-10 in peptide therapy for the autoimmune disease multiple sclerosis. 

During her PhD, Laura also undertook a six month internship in the research commercialisation department at the University of Bristol. She has previously also obtained a first class degree in Biology from the University of York.
