Ross Beesley

Ross is a Chartered Engineer with particular experience in materials engineering, power, oil & gas, renewable energy and the construction industry.
Ross joined Marks & Clerk in September 2017 and works in the Mechanical Engineering group in the Edinburgh and Glasgow offices where he assists in a variety of patent matters. Prior to this, he gained a MEng degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Strathclyde in 2012. He then went on to complete an Engineering Doctorate (EngD) from the University of Strathclyde in 2017. Working in collaboration with Siemens Industrial Turbomachinery Ltd, his field of research involved the structural integrity and fracture mechanics of gas turbines. During this time, he published a number of papers in prestigious journals and received awards at an international conference. The EngD scheme also incorporated a managerial component, allowing Ross to gain a commercial awareness of real-world industrial engineering as well as a Post Graduate Diploma (PGDip) in Enterprise Management from the University of Manchester Business School.
